Pledged My Time

Pledged My Time

A Poem by Ethan Talby

I'm going to pledge my time to you
Knowing you'll come through too

I took some public transportation
So I could see your face
When I saw you, you gave me an allegation
I left wondering an unknown place

I'm pledging my time to you
Hoping you'll come through too

I stayed up all night
So I could hear your voice
When I heard you we got into a fight
You left me no choice

I wasted my time on you
Now I know you're not true

I would have waited an eternity
Just to feel your touch
Then I realized you had a mortality
We left each other knowing too much

I'm wasting my time on another
Even though I don't love her

A twisted battle to know what we need and want. I read the poem a few times. Ending left me more questions. A interesting poem.
