Someday

I waited so long to tell you

I just couldn't think of the right words to say

 

I guess I waited too long

Maybe, I can just give it another try

Someday I'll have the courage to tell you myself

 

Someday, there will be no war

That will be a good day

 

Someday I will be all grown up

I'll be full of more wisdom

 

Someday I won't be so naive

That will also be a good day

 

Someday I'll be more bold

I won't be as shy

I'll put myself out there

 

Someday, the sky will stay blue

With no clouds, my worries are over

 

Someday, I will fall in love

Too bad that day isn't coming any time soon

 

Someday, I won't be as plain looking as I am now

I will change one day, you just wait and see

 

Someday, I'll be on the covers of dozens of magazines

That would be the day of my rising fame

 

Someday, I won't feel alone

If only that day were today

 

Someday, I'll thank my momma

For teaching me all those wonderful things

 

Someday, I will die

And maybe you will cry

 

I just hope that when someday comes,

Something great, and/or amazing will happen

The first step is always to be able to dream and have hope. The poem is positive and I like the desire and wisdom in the words. Life is to be lived. He who wait for a bus not coming. Won't get very far on their journey. I like the thanks for a mother motivation and the last line of great hope. A outstanding poem.

This was beautifully written. Sometimes you really need to be brave and tell someone what you are feeling. If you don't tell them then they will never know. Maybe they feel the same way as you do. I really liked this though. Thanks for sharing. :)

A nice poem. So many people can identify with this one, because for alot of people- having something to look forward to gets them through something they are dealing with right then that may not be as pleasant as a possible positive for the future.
