Boredom is as Boring as Boredom is Boring

Boredom is as Boring as Boredom is Boring

A Poem by Ethan
"

My first free verse in a long while.

"

Today, I am me and no other.

Tomorrow, who knows what I’ll be?

But on this dreadful plague of a day

That leeches my life in a way

Only a wickedly sentient tapeworm could,

Some wispy thoughts that drift

Inside my brain have taken form.

So now, I conclude, I may finally say

I am fearfully and wonderfully bored.

My heart is cold, my youth seems old,

Nothing wakes my sleeping spirit.

Neither lady fair, nor poetic fanfare

Can lay siege to this hardest of hearts.

But alas, today, I am myself, and

Tomorrow, I'll probably be

The same tired, silent, and sorrowful soul,

Damned to boredom for eternity.

I love this! Your words slowly trickle on the page but tantilize the mind. I could read this again and again! Your intelligence pours out onto the page when you write. I love your word choice here and in every piece I've read of your really.
It's inspiring and impressive! Always fun to read, but speaking volumes at the same time! Awesome write!
Well done!

I like it some people can relate to that but some might think boredom is whatever or suddenly use to it. But any who I like it! :)

sometimes, you read a poem and think - oh, this is me today... so, this one is definitely me today :) Love the description of the wonderfully bored brain

I can relate to this so much. The dull numb feeling. Sometimes doing something we don't normally do can help break the cycle. Hate that stuck feeling.

You have very powerful word choice in not only this, but your other pieces as well. I really enjoy reading your writing. At least what I have read so far. I will continue to read your work and hope you publish more.

Thank you again!
The poem is awfully relatable and definetly suits the season since its summer and we have nothing to do so we do get bored. You use very advanced language and poetic devices such as enjambent and the melodious rhythms you create in your poems leave in me in awe. Do you mind me asking, what has inspired you to write poetry because you are so gifted so it makes me curious

Well thank you for reading this Neetha :)
Interesting play on words throughout. The title, for example, had me thinking about what I was reading.
