The Kiss

The Kiss

A Poem by Eunice Crankyponts
"

I have a distinct memory from high school in which, I was walking home and the line Two Lover's embraced in a kiss was bouncing around my pea brain. Well, after approximately twenty years, I am finally starting to complete that thought process

"

Two lovers,

Embraced in a kiss

Proving nothing but

Spiritual bliss

Soulfully searching

Worldly views shared

Conversing on life

Love imminently evolving

To something that transcends

Everything in the Universe.

Appealing to no one

And stopping at nothing

To reach the golden embrace

There is something special about a kiss and you capture that will with your words. It is as if a kiss turns the key opening a door to so much more.

Well done.

A very tender piece. I too was expecting rhyning verse when I started, but the fact that it didn't continue did nothing to detract from its charm

I love the first line best, very clever. The poem overall is beautiful at first i thought it was supposed to rhyme with your first 3 lines, but then it didnt so that was a little confusing lol. Other than tthat i loved it great job. :)
