Do you go wherever the wind takes you?

"I am the leaf"

"I've fallen from the tree"

"to grow into something free"

"I've left my favorite branch"

"but without eyes, I can't give it a last glance"

"I am the leaf"

"The wind follows its own way"

"Hopefully, it won't lead me into a fray"

"Am I okay with the path this current has chose?"

"but I have no control, so who knows?"

"I am the leaf"

"Maybe I'll cling to a body of mass"

"to shield me from the storm that'll pass"

"maybe I'll flow into the eye of the storm"

"or land in a kind stranger's hand to keep warm"

There's something about this poem...I like the fact that despite the leaf's uncertainty, I do not hear pessimism.
