it's been forever

Since nay my though has graced the page

More oft than never

My mind entrapped inside this cage

I hear the rhythm

Every step in barren tone

And I have given

Every heart to reach my own

Now I must release my woe

And in forgotten state of mind

That fills me up from head to toe

Author's Note

Well I've been gone now for a LONG time as you all know. I've moved to a very large company and am loving my job. I got married to a beautiful woman and, thanks to everyone on writerscafe's help, am making immense progress on "The Dark Angel." To the point where it's almost unrecognizable from my original piece. Once the book is released I will be doing a giveaway on this page to show my thanks. Also stay tuned for a christmas giveaway of my book "A Winter Walk." This was a piece I wrote to get warmed up to get to work on the conclusion of "The Dark Angel." Hope you all enjoy!

This is great, in happy times, we tend not to write as much as in darker times.... sometimes, we are so happy we don't think of writing, for all is great... we don't listen to the core then... but it's good to see you writing again, this form, was very enjoyable, to read, and speak out loud... I agree with Muse too, I've also been gone, and came back a several times, the ink shall personally for me never stop, I'm pretty sure about that... this was a wonderful reflection of yours...

This does feel like a prologue to something bigger, but that does nothing to diminish my love of this piece. It almost sounds like writer's block, or how I would define it. I know I emit a lot of sighs in that state. Repetition is one of my favourite devices when it's done right, and you've done it just right. I can relate to this cycle of short, concise thoughts. A great piece, and one that truly struck a chord with me.

But it's quite a bit more fleshed out resulting in a LOT of reading lol
