It's An Honor

This came abruptly to mind, after reviewing writes today.

The poems and stories are mine to review;
some are old hat and some are quite new.
Whether they seem deep or trite,
the writer's soul goes into that write.
If my review is not on the side of good,
I do my best, not to be rude.
I give a positive comment or two,
then suggest something else they could do,
to make their writing a little bit better,
without having to change every last letter.
It's an honor, that they share their words with me
and I'm certainly not the best writer to be.

The Plain truth form the theme of this fine piece. true to self (in this case the reviewer) and true to the writer (in this case the reviewed).

The last line...

"It's an honor, that they share their words with me

...sealed it off with an exceptional touch.

hahaha this is really rather fantastic! I love the fact that you've told people what to expect when they ask you to review their work. Personally, I'm not very talented with writing, or understanding poetry but this is fun and easy to wrap my head around. I like every line but if I had to pick a favourite I would say: "to make their writing a little bit better,
without having to change every last letter."
