I see you

I see you

A Poem by Fading-to-Gray

I see you
Bare your soul to me once more
Leave nothing out this time
Spill the secrets your eyes already gave away
So you will have not a doubt I know them.
Rest assured that I know you
I will not deny you your scars
And I cannot erase your mistakes
Anymore than I can my own
I see you.
Don't sigh at me in frustration
As if I don't understand what you're saying
I get it
I promise I do
More than I can find words to express
But if you're waiting for me to run
I hope you aren't holding your breath
I’ve tasted your madness and played in your light
I’ve seen your good and bad
And how they collide
To create such a beautiful heart and a brilliant mind
I’ve stood knee deep in your shadows
With you begging me to hide
But I want you still
For exactly who are.

Wonderfully written and emotionally raw. Excellent piece of expression
