For You.

For You.

A Poem by Fahmida Mehreen

The heart, the breath;
Invaded by an intoxicating soul.
Now, what? Just come to think of it:
What if this throbbing heart, reflecting the irresistible sensation like a fragile mirror, breaks apart?
What if this exhilarating breath, flying like a Pegasus, drops dead?
The sunshine days, the starlit nights;
Imprisoned by an intoxicating soul.
It is you. You.

Amazing write!
I feel this feel rises the moment we are intoxicated by something intense.
I myself went through this feel for certain things(things mean people as well as strong emotions we feel for others) that at sometime meant a lot to me. I would get scared at the very thought of it. But, believe me, we do survive and come stronger or sometimes come out like strangers.
Very, very beautifully presented. Excellent.
Take a bow for this, Fahmida! Keep writing.:-):-)

This is so deep, I can't get enough of this poem. From what I've learnt from life so far, I can just say that we just have to keep moving on, and not dwell over the sad, heartbreaking things. This was beautiful. Great job writing this, Fahmida. :)

No problem!
One of my friend once told me that the number of scars on your heart is what makes you a real fighter. You should keep moving on. Love is surely the most addictive emotion in life. Whether it is for good or bad only time can tell.
Even though this feeling of being heartbroken is painful but it is equally precious because in some cases love never dies it just gets lost.
Very well written :)
And as you said life goes on :-)

Can't agree more. Thank you for the review. :)
Trusting our hearts in the hands of another, is one of the bravest things we can ever do as humans. Sometimes the ones our hearts beat for, are the ones that break that same heart. Nevertheless, we take the risk.

Lovely words.

Well said.
The one that raises our pulse is one that effects us without speaking a word. It is this one that holds value and power within us as well as love.

I can relate to this poem, Fahmida.

We find that special someone who makes the hair on our arms stand up, the heart in our chest beats out their name and the smell of their scent sends us on a flurry of delirious happiness. I know the feeling. I also know the emptiness that comes when that person departs, taking away everything you needed in your life. Embrace your emotions. Protect your heart as well. For it breaks very, very easily.
A heartfelt poem, a lovely dedication to a beloved one.
