Frozen

Frozen

A Poem by Riccardo Biggi

Still like a Granite I stand
on the grass that cuts veins
and the dusty snow.
Incapable of moving,
frozen to the deep,
a far away sound slowly fades away:
It's my heart,
Pumping weak.

Short but so effective! Beautiful. And I agree with . serah . in saying that excellence in poetry is found by expressing our fragility and weaknesses that show our strength in displaying such emotions.

~~ terrific stuff... ~~ we wouldn't be able to pursue excellence in poetic expression if we didn't experience fragility and vulnerability as we do... (we as in us humans)... or so i think...
