a good moment.

a good moment.

A Poem by Faati Jaan

the good moment that came
felt like ecstasy.
expect it to leave
and when it does
wish it well on its way.
tell it you will miss it,
but you enjoyed your time.
tell it you will be
just fine without it,
that you look forward
to similar moments
in the future
but that you will not be sitting
waiting for its return.

I'm aware happiness never comes with a disclaimer. It makes no vows to live happily ever after with its partner. Moments of gladness come like the wind at times, ready to skip away like a leaf to some other place.

I am not surprised no one has reviewed this poem or some of your others being so many have abandoned that idea in droves. But, I am glad I have. You speak from wisdom that is not easy to find here.

Just as the proverb goes, "This too shall pass", applies to the good things in life as well.
