Spring Rebirth

Spring Rebirth

A Poem by Sheila M
"

I wrote this for a challenge in a spiritual group that I belong to.

"

After the long and cold of winter have gone,

The promise of warmth and love has come.

A chance for life to blossom anew.

A precious gift for each of you.

To hunger for what must sustain our lives-

To receive what we need and be sufficed.

A new outlook on what meets our eyes.

A joy and happiness we've found inside.

A springtime shower washes us clean

Of the sadness and sorrow that can't be seen.

The warming sun spreads a shining light

To guide our way through this path of life.

This poem was inspired by the photo I took of four baby birds. We watched them hatch, grow, and eventually fly off on their own.

I'm a thinker and believer. My poetry is usually written in the blink of an eye. It's almost always a thought process. Some sorting and analyzing of emotion. I'm a bit self-conscious of my writing.. more..
