change

change

A Poem by Fey Frost

From ice we are born
From coldness we come
A plant growing it's first thorns
It grows a few buds and then some
Slowly our glaciers start to fade
We melt and morph into something we fear
And from our true stem we strayed
Our petals fall along with what we held dear
We all end up the in same way, the same state
We have changed into something we no longer know
But we churn and turn not willing to accept our fate
And we fight and rage wars waiting for the final blow
We were innocent once upon a dawn we say
What we once saw as black and white
Now morphed into the same grey
We are darkness, albeit born from light
So turn your heads and look aside
From this disgrace we have become
We have lost our path, we lost our pride
And to all pain, to all evil, we have fallen numb

So much beauty in this emotional imagery. Every piece is a metaphor that weaves into the next one. I enjoyed every word—Great poem! :)

Thank you so much :D
Wow. This is great. Especially, I love the 'And we fight and rage wars waiting for the final blow' part. Brilliant.
