The Prison

The Prison

A Poem by Faith Kennedy

There was a time

When there was time

To waste time

Just for a time

But now there is time

That holds no time

How I wish time

Had lost it's mind

Rooms sitting very still

Walls clawed and then refilled

Same distant painful steps

Constantly replaying my regrets

How I wish that time would for get

Yet I'm still right here

Waiting for time

To pass the day

Yet I'm still right here

Waiting on time

To pass away

400,824

Single steps I've counted

To reach the door

Now I add another five

To the few

With each step

The madness has come to

Accumulations

Of every day

The seconds

Begin to fade

The anger

Becomes a rage

Be patient

is what they say

Almost over, don't give a s**t

I'll tell you right now, I'm over it

Time forsaken my very soul

Feeling knives making their sacred holes

There was a time

When there was time

To waste time

Just for a time

But now there is time

That holds no time

How I wish time

Had lost it's mind

Rooms sitting very still

Walls clawed and then refilled

Same distant painful steps

Constantly replaying my regrets

How I wish that time would for get

I like to write fantasy/sci-fi/adventure-action stories, different ranges of poetry, and random things that occupy my mind. I don't use rhyming in my poetry, because I find rhyming to be a bit more co.. more..
