Every Year: Finn Webb's Short Story Series #5A Story by Richard McLinA man realizes his impact.
I look upon it as if it with great majesty. It is my armor, and once I am inside of it, I'm no longer a man, I'm considered more than that, I'm looked at as a god. Every year I do this, and this one will be no different.
I prepare to meet my crowd, the people who love me, and there are many. It is time for me to go out and do what I do best. This is something that no one can do better than I, and I alone have to be up to the task.
It didn't take me long to get suited up. I get the feel for it and as it does every year, if fits like a glove. I open the door and the screams cover me like a satisfied lover, and I would not exchange it for anything. I sit upon my throne, and listen to the screams, and they scream my name,
"SANTA, SANTA, SANTA!!"
