my occlude

my occlude

A Poem by Jason

The threat is evident
Dark shadows cast upon me
As I retreat in fear
My enemy has arrived
For so long, I forbade you
For so long, you’ve persisted
I have never been able to escape
Your wretched outstretched evil
Toward me, begging me, wanting me
How I yearn to avoid you, to withdraw from you
You have made your pain mine
As I shun myself from your words
Piercing pain prodding my plight
Blinding my sight, darkening my light
So now you stand before me
Even- with my height, even- with my sight
Standing in my way of fruition
Blocking myself from ambition
Hindering my volition
In recognition… I see, myself, looking back at myself

The power of evil. Evil loves to attack us when we are at our best. He doesn't want to see any fruition take place in our lives. You mirror a constant battle we have to partake in all the days of our lives. Awesome piece Jason. Your words reach into my mind and make me think!!!
