Compassion

Compassion

A Poem by James Paulin
"

to give

"

Giving

Your  all

When it’s repulsive

You hear and see the call

Anguish

Fear and choice

Raising spirit and voice

Sacrifice so another may rejoice

Action

Time and pain

Doing things that you disdain

Accepting them without complain

Peace

At death’s rest

Of mind and heart

Knowing that you’ve done your best

It takes a lot of love to sacrifice so much.
