Megalomania

Megalomania

A Poem by James Paulin

insistent to have their way

with every deed, the weak fall prey

twist truth with repression or fear

quash all that holds freedom dear

tyrants wave horrible swords

implicit distrust in accords

clenched fists pound drums in war beat

drilled masses chant cries for defeat

demagogues play upon hate

threatening humanities fate

I would add that this is likely the cause of?
"insistent to have their way, with every deed, the weak fall prey."
Indeed. But who are the weak? The Many?
How could they fall to the whims of the Megalomaniac?
Sloth, that's how.
Good Poem, this.

you wonder where they get that stuff...it may be it's one of those realities they make up as they go along, and then get lost in
