This Is a Poem

The fact that I am alone
has very little to do with this poem
but I am alone
and this is a poem

I saw you for the first time
in a very long time

and it was strange,

and it was painful,

and it was comforting,

and it felt like home

so

I sit
and write
about you
not so alone
as I used to be
