On the Way

On the Way

A Poem by WilliamDagursson
"

From the passenger seat.

"
Gazing out of the passenger side window
highway-side countryside rolls past
in still fields of grain
in towering walls of forest
in electrical towers looming above

Like metal giants
conquering each mountain
under their gaunt legs
spinning webs of wire
capturing natural beauty
like flies
