Faliure is giving up

Faliure is giving up

A Poem by Sarah

 Failure

Was that how I was defined now,

Hopes and dreams escaped out the window.

Cold December day reminds me of my condition,

The cold metal seeps through the worn gloves.

Dreams of stardom,

Shattered like glass.

The night the shot rang out.

Life intended to be cruel,

Or so I thought.

But it was its twisted way to get me to move on.

Once the dream of stardom gone,

Replaced by a new path.

A path to where hope rang true and bold,

the hope I held on to daily.

The hope I would one day,

walk again.

I would not be defined,

as long as I tried.

I wouldn't give up.
