The Fence

The Fence

A Poem by George Anthony
"

Perspective

"
I ride the fence; I live there now, in the middle of everything.
It is most comfortable, for I am a watcher and a thinker.
Sometimes the grass is just as green on the other side.
Other times there are no good decisions.
To see both sides can be frustrating, overwhelming even.
But I always see the bigger picture, overlooking every component; every connection.
To hell with the details; they are tedious and bothersome.
Others enjoy them anyway; I let them handle the minutia.
Admittedly, I jump off the fence from time to time; or am pushed.
I go with the flow and veer toward adventure.
After all, how am I to see the edge if I'm always in the middle?
A love of fun and adventure do make me reckless.
A desire for new perspective makes me change; I do love change.
Nothing phases me anymore; I've seen both sides for too long.
But it leaves me with an open mind, and everyone is invited.

Enjoyed this part, kinda intriguing.
