We'll Make History

A fame inspired love poem :)

Darling, take my hand

And trust your heart

We're gonna go far

If you believe in our love

If I sign my name 

On a contract of the Devil

Written in the blood

That courses through my veins.

My darling do you know 

That Ariel and Eric

Still wouldn't live up to our name?

Because that was just a children's tale

And love like ours my dear, 

Cannot be created.

My darling do you know 

That we could sail across

The sea's unforgiving waters?

We could submerge ourselves headfirst 

And lose ourselves completely

Even then, Jack and Rose 

Still won't know what it is we have

Because in the end

We'll be together 

And our love withstands

And that's what makes us last

My darling, do you know

That as long as you have me

We'll stand tall together

And we'll make history

So don't forget your instincts

They'll help you win your battles

Defeating the evil of other's jealousy

Will be an eternal struggle

Because no one can even imagine

The power we have together

Author's Note

Broken rhythm and other ickiness, so don't comment on that, but it was written for a school project so I couldn't care less.

A interesting tale. Deal of love with the Devil may lead to trouble. I like the kind and gentle emotion of this poem. Always good to stay positive and content when love is the goal. I like the ending to the excellent poem.

Actually, I think the rhythm is nice. It's broken but it works. This is a great piece, very beautiful and hopeful. Young, but in the best way possible.
