what was said

what was said

A Poem by audrie

It was something profound he said
that made me want to linger around
Itwas something profound he said
that made me want to take him to bed
It was something profound he said
that made me think that I would remember him
it was something profound he said
that made me long for him
it was something profound he said. . .
what was it he said again?

Nice use of words leading to the surprise ending. Good words catch our attention. Most times, we do remember them. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Ha ha! Sorry, maybe it was not meant to be funny but it has a nice hook at the end. Infatuation can be so memorable and so fleeting. I don't know if that was what you were trying to capture but it seems to fit quite nicely (at least for me.)

I love how blatant yet discrete this is, and what made it perfect was the last line you wrote asking a question. That question really tied the poem together perfectly; you did a very good job.

Sometimes its not what, but how and when it is said. Speaking isn't only about the sounds.
Love your writing style, it's very creative. And this poem was very well written. Nicely penned.
