Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Franky Martinez

As I'm sitting here alone,
Wrapped inside warm sheets trying to avoid that cold breeze.
Windows open to free these thoughts.
Every second passing turns into a memory.
Feeling isolated, taking time to heal.
See solitude is real.
Loneliness is an attitude, anxiety will fill the room.
It's time to set the mood, secluded I am nude.
Life in naked fear.
Watch me fight the tears as i cry out loud.
I can't hear a sound and there is no one around.
My mind is in the clouds but physically, I'm with a crowd.

Solitude can be a torture or a place to relax. I like the way you led the reader to the surprise ending. No weakness in the excellent poetry.
