a lesson about tossing people

a lesson about tossing people

A Poem by freelancejouster

tossed to the ground,

they didn't think you'd keep rolling,

tumbling down the daisy-coated hillside,

through the rock-filled valley.

no one thought they'd thrown you hard enough,

to sumersault through dry and barren deserts,

or ice-covered, arctic plains.

and not one person figured

that you'd reach the end of the earth,

the break that they've all been searching for,

and just spin right over it,

into oblivion.

What a journey! It's true that we seldom look beyond the moment to guess at the possible outcome of our choices and actions. Well done, and with a touch of whimsy too! A few minor editing thoughts though... "barren" instead of "barron" and "arctic" instead of "artic". Great work!
