From Dusk Til One

From Dusk Til One

A Poem by Christy

Two chairs on a concrete porch

together we sit and talk

about all the things

we love and hate and how

we could make everything better

Our ideas are just that.

Ours.

We worry for no one

or nothing because

we don't have to

It's just him and I in

this world of imagination starring

at each other and back

to the light that dilates our eyes

Happy again looking

together at the night growing

in front of our eyes

and the rest of the town

moving to a world of slumber

This has such contentment to it. Very tender and endearing. Beautifully crafted that captures this feeling flawlessly... Excellent writing...

This is such a beautiful, tender moment... moving into night... These are treasured times and you paint them with the colors of peace, and that depth of love that thrills with the company of each other... just sitting. Wonderful!
