Angel's Delusions Flutterby

Angel's Delusions Flutterby

A Poem by Frieda P
"

This is an old one I wrote a while back to help me cope with my sister's suicide.

"

What is an angel but a messenger of hope

a promise that our loved ones are at peace

they live on through our remembrances of love

memories of times together we cherish forever

Sometimes we have an endearing thought or evocative feeling

that's hauntingly  a tap on the shoulder reminding us of their lives

never gone forever or forgotten, we hold them dear in our hearts

giving life back to their souls as they await a treasured reunion

Maybe I don't really believe in blue soul'd butterflies or angels rebirth

clearly in my mind's eye it still brings me comfort to ponder this fantasia

watching wings of unrestricted independence floating by whimsically

reflections of their majestic flight to eternal freedom and peaceful serenity

I believe they are not gone...just in another room...
The angels are beautiful and I can picture the gauzy gossamer blue wings with faces of our loved ones. Always there to help when we need them with a thought or an otherworldly touch...
Just to share with you Frieda...My sis is my lost n found angel. Whenever I lose something..I request her to help me find it and it maraculously turns out somewhere! I know I'm being silly but It sort of brings me comfort and a feeling of being close to her...
100/100 for the beauty I could picture reading the poem and thanks for sharing!

I lost three brothers to suicide. I join a war to escape their memory. The painting is beautiful. I pray my brothers found a better place. Here on Earth was too hard for them. Thank you for sharing the poem.

i am so sorry for your loss. this poem is a beautiful tribute to her...and that thought of what is on the other side...will there be a reuniting? is she now an Angel? and will there be some closure...some conversation to find an answer as to why? a reason?

she is definitely a Blue Angel.

There is a gentle poignancy about this that caught my emotions... and the uncertainty and blissful thinking sustains the flow of ideas and the need for comfort
