Raven Bluff

Raven Bluff

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Wrote this whilst listening to Ghost Song by Max Ablitzer, music included. Hope you enjoy the music as much as I did.

"
I flew with the dark raven
for he was the only one
   who could taste or see
such  insanely sweet madness in me
   he perched himself right astride
   without cawing a sound
naught a lecture to take care
Mockingly looming overhead
he stared me straight in the eye
So smooth and lovingly lush he sailed
soared within me to new heights
before we burst into fluid flight
I took him in languidly
   hauntingly mysterious elixir
   a cryptic spirit unto himself
Cracked half a vitriolic sad smile
whilst he prepared me for sin
Knocking back at my door
to taunt me raving yet afresh
he sing songs his intoxication into me,
then takes me for a mystical rendezvous
  raven's song so tastefully contrived

              we sing together,
                           twisted in consumption
                                                   the dark raven in me
                                                                    never judges

Mystical, black ravens taking you out on ethereal dates and slowly embedding itself into your soul, becoming forever a part of you (hence the singing together in the end, and the dark raven IN you never judging). What a dark centerpiece for a love felt by a person trying to empty themself.. Well done.

Maybe I won't be so spooked by the sight of a single raven near my window now haha This paints an enticing portrait indeed ;)

Haha yes, I can sympathize with that, unfortunately I can't be bothered with hourly chores ;P

Hourly chores as they pertain to me, that is haha ;P
I do not personally relate to having a part of me that never judges myself...
Must be nice! ha
The poem was a bit like a floert with the dark side. I could hear Star Wars music in my head. Odd I know...but.
"I took him in
hauntingly mysterious elixir
a cryptic spirit unto himself
Cracked half a knowing sad smile"
This part hit home. You chose "him" and this was interesting to me.
then felt "elixer" yet the smile was "sad for the "knowing" of this song...
How exactly is one "prepared for sin"? It begs one question the original supposition does it not?
Well crafted, this potion of words!

Wow this poem is very good. I like raven the bird is mystery and has no fear. love the poem and the video. The vidoe and song match the tone of the poem. It would be very cool to be a raven and roam around rooms as him to see what a raven is seeing. Well done on this beauiful excellent piece of poetry. It is very dark i love it. It is very well written.

its ok you are welcome. It wa a plesure to read. Really loved reading it. Well done
Excellent! I could almost imagine a song here, and flight of the raven,

"we sing together" "he never judges" these two lines are perfect. Its like we can all get along and protect each other.

This was a very cool write FP. You seem to be on quite a roll of late! The muse has not only struck, but appears to be lashing you constantly! Keep doing what you're doing, as it seems to be working!

OMG are you crazy, the kiss of death for a poet!! Thanks ;-P
" for he was the only one
who could taste or see
such insanely sweet madness in me" this truly makes me cheek bones hurt as I can't stop smiling at how brilliant the meaning and words chosen to describe it are.
It's like an angel in a nightmare.. he watches over you, guides you, becomes part of you, before you realize it he saves you. Wow you've taken the music and added life to it with these words.. you've given it a story. This was legendary by all means and one of the most creative pieces i've ever read. Beautiful .. just beautiful. You're able to create poetry out of any inspiration. Give you a picture and you create art, give you music you create art. Professionalism at it's core.

I like the Raven. A bird of mystery and no fear. I like the story and the good video. Would be cool to roam with the raven and see what the raven is seeing. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
