Free Falling

Free Falling

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Stunning artwork by *Star* Music by Evanescence, thought it only fair to add this beautiful music since I stole the title...

"
Lost in paradise
      on the brink...
treading the edges,
~is there sanity~
       in unrestrained descent
            tragedy's fall from grace
 to that special place,
where angst and torment
cease to exist

  Freedom floating on a dance
        without a care
         panorama's correction
absolved by a leap of faith
             loveliness of misty azure skies
    with aliceblue clouds essence

Snapped back to stark reality,
to my dismay...
          I realize i'm awake

Well, speaking as a highly intelligent, well informed Republican who does not hold political office therefore quin has no major beef with me, I can honestly say I loved this piece. And, as far as the music goes, my volume is always turned down because between you and Dale and my slow connection, I always get the s**t scared out of me when I go onto your pages and the music decides to start playing xD

Nice artwork, too, of course.

All the best people are crazy, so that's how I justify that one. ;-)

Ha, nothing worse than being nondescript.... ;-)
One of the worst parts of dreams is being snapped back into the world. I've been with beautiful soft woman in the heat of the moment; I've driven through sun drenched vallys in a fine car; And I've walked through green hills under apple trees on perfect afternoons only to be woken by a neighbors car or kids yelling outside. Sucks I tell you!

This poem however, doesn't suck at all. (Like how I slid right into that?) Your poems always have a nice poetic feel to them and I never feel as though I've hit a brick wall mid-sentence. Another fine write Frieda.

Thanks Tink! 'Awesomatic'!? ha...
It pays to let go sometimes and tumble down to that special place where there's no pain, only bliss, get refreshed and snap back to reality with a soft landing. We have no choice.

The imagery was bliss of floating in a misty blue sky and puffy white clouds. Just great Frieda!

You say it to so well Divya, thanks.
Cold and enticing. Really cool. I'm still somewhat torn every time I read free verse, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Sort of. Not really. It's great though. Although it's free verse.
