Strung Out

Strung Out

A Poem by Frieda P

Like strings on a guitar, you composed a siren song
each chord progression concise and masterfully strummed
intermezzos composition conducted to rhythm of jazzy blues
orchestrated under a fully acoustic half lit darkly moon
my untuned eyes did not see the sheet music had been played
by the heartbreaker maestro of a million sad concertos

I love this line: "the heartbreaker maestro of a million sad concertos." When I read it I could totally hear my favorit ones playing in my head. The imagery is fantastic. And the message is very well laid inbetween such beautiful lines. Sometimes we lose site of/ or fail to see/ the danger ahead, because we get so caught up in the moment. Very well written.

Thanks Kristin, I think we all have made his acquaintance at one time or another.

not until we are immersed does the pain come. Strong metaphor in this Frieda. Music is such a powerful influence for me personally anyway and when coupled with what love can do when it goes south...well makes for formidable poetry.

Thanks TL, music injects itself into life, and especially when it comes to love, or the loss of....
Danger ahead... where is that neon sign when you need it? Love that last line!

I've never caught sight of it! Thanks Sera. ;-)
Gawd I love Santana, and Dave Matthews and together...magic, like your poem, is perfection too. I read it first without and then with, thre is just something about the words, love of my life, and your siren song, beautifully entwined , is Darkly a word?> I have to look that up but even if it is not...it is now! It fits perfectly!

Thank you kind sir, muchly appreciated.
You are imagery personified, lady...I don't know how you do it half the time...I'm sitting here minding my own damn business one minute, and the next I'm sitting second chair in this orchestra of heartbreak...you're amazing, as always.

Made my day! xo
I thought this was really well written, there were so many amazing lines but one that stuck out was;

"by the heartbreaker maestro of a million sad concertos" Finish with a bang, huh? Nicely done. The imagery is fantastic, and I thought you conveyed the message very well.

I agree with Kirsten- "Sometimes we lose site of/ or fail to see/ the danger ahead, because we get so caught up in the moment" Nicely said, Kirsten!

Ha now how did you meant that noodlebumble? ;-) Thanks love.
The first thing I notices and pissed me off was your ratings bar...somebody tried to sabotage your ratings...and wtf!

each chord progression concise and masterfully strummed

So beautiful and artistically pinned. A passionate encounter is much like a relationship felt between the composer and it's instrument...every touch, every breath is very intimate. Thank you for providing a brilliant source of inspiration for a picture I loved so much. Favorite. 100 of out of a freakin 100, I hope this helps your rating. xo
