~In This Moment...

~In This Moment...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by another lovely piece of *Star's artwork.

"
I breathe, my world expands in this moment
most days I find myself in utter puzzlement
of broken pieces that hardly fit the scene
the beauty that surrounds me is vastly
                   different from my view,
poppies can twist to opium seeds in turn
A sheer moment in time I realize there's beauty,
that is every single thing we do and see
I hear the dance in so many different styles
even pain is a study in it's own mysterious way
I breathe in this precious moment of clarity,
hopeful to revisit it some dark & dismal day

I have moments like this when I'm listening to music and realize that the song playing at that particular moment is a perfect match to what is happening around me and what I'm feeling. Sort of a soundtrack to my life

Music can certainly bring about moments of clarity, thanks Annabelle.
I breathe in this precious moment of clarity...I've been searching for one of these as of late and you seem to have captured it perfectly. This piece is beautiful in its vision and illustration of peace.

Thanks Kristin, I wish I could bottle the stuff so it'd last longer.
An interesting write as always my Lady. It seems to be uplifting and your touchstone in times of need. As always words of silky essence.

Ah, what a lovely review my Lord, thanks so much.
Living in this moment, breathing.. very Zen, Frieda. Not taking life for granted, but stopping to pay attention to the smallest details.. everything is fleeting.. the good, the bad. A moment of stillness helps us to realize just how fleeting we are.

Now, if it could only last, thanks Lori....
this is a lovely write about not taking everything for granted. there is good and evil enraptured in every little piece of our lives. i particularly loved the line "poppies can twist to opium seeds in turn" because it was a very unique metaphor that painted a great image!

Thanks Dana, that was my favorite line too.

Your poem spoke of extraordinary beauty out of the ordinary things we see everyday. Which beauty could not be seen by the naked eye. I loved this work of yours.

Thanks again :-)
Finding the beauty in everything is not a state of mind easy to access all the time. Your words here however, are - their beauty is abundant.

Hardly, moments are the best we can hope for some days, thanks for your lovely review Shane.
First off, Star is amazing!

Secondly, your song reminded me of 'From This Moment' Shania Twain.
"From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on"

Hehe, this is amazing. I would say don't take what you have for granted because one day you won't have it.

Yeah she does, she's a lovely woman. Love all her songs! I had to sing and dance to a couple, haha!

I hear the dance in so many different styles

So much appreciation for life and its moments whether light or dark ones with emphasis on not taking even the little things for gratitude ...Another lovely write of you...:)

You are welcome...Gracie Mille...:)
A lovely one Frieda... and today I am a prisoner of the rain... Letting the thoughts that emerge in these moments seep through me... Seeking peace and stillness where other moments would see chaos...
