~Butterfly in Heaven

~Butterfly in Heaven

A Poem by Frieda P
"

A collaboration of music & poetry, piano composition by Jack, for which I will be eternally grateful. Thank you my dear friend with my whole entire heart. From me & Lee....♥♥

"

I am but one lone butterfly
set forth on the sea of my accord
took flight on a moonbeams prayer
salt had stung my fragile wings

sunlight had parched my soul

I wander a'flutter stormy nights
   searching for the reasons       why
in surrender's darkness there is light
      whilst angels whisper my name,
all the while I'm still here & there

Gorgeous description Frieda, the imagery is of a strong metaphor steeped in personal essence. This is a beautiful piano piece as well Jack, you are a man of many talents. I can see it being played at the beginning or end of a film, or sampled to create some more contemporary music styles. Well done the both of you.

A lovely, fragile thing, seeking refuge, seeking solace, but lost in a sky wider than the galaxy -- the urgency of fear and desperate longing to feel whole again are carried by your words and this incredible music. Butterflies have short lives, perhaps unaware of how their beauty and delicacy affects us. In the human sphere, our lives seem shorter everyday, and we thirst to know if we connect, if we give pleasure, if echoes of us survive when we are gone. Incredible collaboration. Both of you, incredible on your own, form a titan when merged.

A butterfly, beautiful but lost, searching for the answers for her pain. A stunning image, Frieda. I was moved by the sadness in your poem.

I'm most happy you liked this one Pax, it's dear to my heart, thanks so much my friend.
Frieda - I know you have had such aching loss in your life and such chaos....but I hope I hope you find a moment or two of joy knowing that you also inspire such beauty. take my words for what they are...grit on paper, salt sweat in the eyes - you are an inspiration - the proof is right here and it is beautiful. I will tell you without joking around - I read this poem, then listened to the song - and at about one minute into it I just cried. It just welled up, you know?
Good grief. Hope my fam doesn't come home and see me.

What a wonderful review, thanks muchly Zahra x
Wonderful composition Jack. I think it fits Frieda's butterflies very well. Sounds like a chick flick movie score.
