A Poem by Frieda P

If i trace'd upon your heartstrings,
scripted sweet words in your name
captured moonbeams & butterflies spirit,

if a poet's soul could ignite your essence
light the milky-way and make eyes glisten
would you be stargazing upon my face

if zest of living's experiences be captured in a word,
unfurling the mysteries of fantasies ginger
promising you eternity's sublime surrender

Would you stay to dance with me, just one more day....

Frieda if I could write and talk like your poems, I'd be a prince and have any fine maiden in the land.. Seriously that's how your poems make me feel.. when I read them I feel like I can charm, I can woo, I can dream and I can love despite the odds.. the obstacles. You make a man dream like a little girl and that's not easy to do so kudos.. :P
And I swear let everyone else get jealous but I do stargaze upon your face when you review or write poems and it shows up on my news feed.. I even mouth it out loud :D that's Frieda!!

I can't dance, i'll probably make a fool of the both of us but lets go, hahaha! Cool write FP!

Two of my female friends.
To start off, I love the last line, the question asked after such vivid imagery throughout your piece. The poem is a powerful piece of literary text which explores the depth of love. I also enjoyed your method of linking sentences to paragraphs. Well done.

You're sweet, thanks again.
Unrequited love can be quite a destructive thing, for both parties. One part of the relationship is more than willing to sacrifice himself just to see the twitch of a smile in his or her lover, and the other may come to regret failing to return the necessary attention needed to keep the obsession alive in the other, and a longing for the adulation felt during the relationship; this essence I see just plastered all over the lines of this piece.

Perhaps "if" I returned the love when I had it, they would still adore me to this day, and I oh, so long for that praise that I once felt, but it's far too late for anything to be changed because the person left.

If~…

Its the word that lingers in our minds when we lose someone....if I had...if I could...
We long for the chance to go back and do or say the things that would keep them here if only for one more dance...its something all of us can relate too. Whether that person has passed away or is just missing from our life...we wish they would have stayed.

So true Red...if is a powerful word with much thought behind it, thanks for your thoughts here.
Perfectly lovely Frieda. It almost feels a bit hypnotic. Your words weave together so magnificently. It is a truly beautiful piece of the heavens.
