Perfidious Testament

Perfidious Testament

A Poem by Frieda P
"

~ a rant on 'trust'

"
a dependable friend is a precious commodity
your perfidious words slayed my faith
testimony can be found written on the walls
should have known you were radioactive
by your past nefarious, grievous verbosity
you corrupted every sentiment set forward
aspersions cast upon treasured love of words
a bitter fire merely lit for public consumption
annihilation set upon your pithy foolishness
hard pill to swallow at the credence table
even the devil choked on your pretend tidbits
swallowed in agony on your lying misery
keep your triple decked psycho to yourself
i may be broken but these cracks are uniquely mine
it was always about sheer joy of shared poetry
the lunatic in your head took a giant leap
landed in my cup of realistic doubt
bitter taste took a dive in my elixir
yet another painful lesson ingested
your drew your sniveling sword unjustly
then cowered amongst those you spewed upon
little do they know the wickedness of your ways
far be it for me to come to rescue any survivors
who'd listen to the likes of your grotesque tongue

put your big boy pants on, you fight like a girl...
who the F**K do you think you are?

Holy cow....let me take a few steps back so I dont catch any shrapnel from this explosive rant. Eeek....

Okay... we all know that relationships are never perfect. We may hurt another or they hurt us. When that happens time and space are needed to cool off. Then a sincere apology along with self responsibility is required. But even more important is an expressed intent not to break the trust again. I think the first two things come easy to people...because it gets them what they want. Its the third thing that many fail on. And often times its because they were only thinking of themselves and their needs in that apology and responsibility area. They said whatever they had to to fix things without thought to the behaviour that led to the trust issue in the first place. If the three steps aren't sincere and aren't applied fully the relationship is bound to fail. We live and we learn...or we choose a constant state of denial and misplaced blame. x

I think I am glad I have been away for a few days... hope the dust has settled. This is clearly a personal rant, but one that so many can relate to. You say it all, and with the sharpest of word-weapons, Frieda!

i may be broken but these cracks are uniquely mine.. Love this line...

Jeez!!!!! this is deep Frieda, sometimes friends whom we trust with all our hearts turn out to be our greatest foes, I always pray that God may show me my true friends.

Whew! You write beautifully even in the fury of the moment. The emotion in this one is undeniable and powerful. I can completely identify with the sentiment....and I love the ending. Great write, Frieda P. Does it help to ignite the cannonball of the pen on paper? Does it relieve any of the frustration and anger? I'm just glad I am not the recipient of this one. Take care, my friend...:)

Oh well, somebody's getting cussed out by way of poetry. I think I better back my way off this page and come in through another entry way :). Well if they know who they are I guess they got the message and if they were doubtful...it has been removed. Dead on making a point and well did Frieda (bad English on purpose).

Visceral...I guess the only thing to do at times is let it out before we can let it go and the song...awesome as well x

hard hitting words words missus, but very well constructed, I might say cold and calculated but even though I don't know you well I think I know you better than that:)...

I relate to that stanza in my own way.

And DAMN someone got on your bad side. I feel sorry for whoever they are. Whew.
Amazing job on letting your feelings out through magnificent poetry.
