Hell to pay ~

Hell to pay ~

A Poem by Frieda P

Peace comes with a reckless price,
rested my head upon your soul
took refuge in an avenging blue heart
     uncomfortably sleep walking
  amidst a thousand crimson tears
you harnessed my spirit's zest
my mind bubbled over in regret
  weakness of an unfurled breath
folded over a darkened bedpost
   silhouetted in haunting lust
monsters came out to play
hell to pay for another try
  reclined upon another night,
indulged in unabashed impulses
arrested temperate indulgences
   composed in haunting poetic cues
dancing off the moonbeams
that resided in my fool eyes

Truth, belief and trust are the cornerstones of our relationships. But sometimes we cannot find it and the burden is overwhelming. I felt the powerlessness of it as I read this:

indulged in unabashed impulses
arrested temperate indulgences
composed in haunting poetic cues
dancing off the moonbeams
that resided in my fool eyes
