Poetic justice myths

Poetic justice myths

A Poem by Frieda P

dark blank pages, in my soul's view
written in reasoning's default
Greek tragedies off the ledge
calculating a mindless scream
whispered under dispensation's breath
climbing the allotted wall's ballot
of poetic justice's myths
indulgences of the spirit kind proselytized
dealing out awards for time shares
permission granted, courtesy of unrest
brass tacks on the deck of substance
matters not the actualization
real world spun on a dime
leaving no time for still life's induction
corruption in tradition's regulations
installation's selection institutionalized
confinement in loss of gray density

nothing lasts forever, so says the rain...

You are definitely back Mrs.R...your poems are always the toughest for me to review because it's so hard to find the words to articulate how they make me feel...you know I hold your words close to my heart though, I always have...I couldn't help but smile at the Greek tragedy reference ;) The last line is a knockout. What more can I say, you never fail to enforce the reasons as to why you're my favourite poet :) xo

I know....I know..
You've completely rendered me speechless, Mama F. I'm absolutely stunned by this one. You came back with a bang and just about knocked me over... This is so powerful and the imagery is outstanding. This was like a poem that came to life right in my backyard.

Your last line, killer - perfect way to end such a beautiful poem.

Ooooft, flip flops & all that jazz to you!xo

Happy to hear that, thanks Michael....
like greek tragedies, all i write is so dark...

even though there is the grey density, nothing lasts forever, there will be sun...

and the rain will not like it.

excellent personification in this piece.

Thanks so much for your kind words jacob.
This small piece is so full of creativity and meaning. We are not limited in life, even if it may seem that way.
A very well written piece : )
