Petri Potpourri

Petri Potpourri

A Poem by Frieda P
"

COLLABORATION Einstein Noodle & Frieda

"
passing the collection plate
gaping hunger boundless
in its demand

feeds itself

wormed its way underground
  found the road to misery,
took a left turn to go right

fighting a delusion's battle

white robed priests
sterile in all approaches
gingerly touching

touching

 genuflections in reflections
   of disgrace's unholy water
     assaulted in pardon's vaults

recanting violations

rainbow colors spread fingers
piled rods like yarrow stalks
raging infection

infection

Fornicating in acidic hot springs
     putrefying growth
        recycling waste's atmosphere

spreading disease

Talk about surrealistic! This is a magical mystery tour bringing me back to the 60's and 70's! Noodle and Frieda, you certainly have outdone yourselves with fabulous imagery here. I loved "took a left turn to go right!" Sort of Alice in Wonderlandish! Great collaboration. Lydi**

A vividly creative and unique write. Great work Frieda. An enjoyable & pioneering read. :)

As I have said before, I really enjoy seeing writers working together. Sometimes our projects are not stronger than anything we could do on our own; but the experience helps us grow, both in talent, and closer as a community. I especially like the feelings of corruption ebbing at the edges of this poem, gradually gaining strength and potency with each stanza; yet so colourful, rather than some tepid waste. It is an interesting perspective; and I enjoyed looking at 'decay' in a new way, as the microbes take over. Good work you two, continue to evolve and progress, both of you.

Thanks so much anne, jazz'd you enjoyed our collaboration....
I can see this being a dark, but lovely spoken word piece. I enjoyed it for its brutal reality. Two of my favs create perfect potpourri.
