Sun's dim betrayal...

Sun's dim betrayal...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_placating shadows_

"
Rushing towards
         placating shadows,
resolved in empty
               hushes' recessed corners
strangling in translation,
light shatters
                        prism's safety
   blindly perplexed
             in shade's hazy view,
frozen memories
          thawed to embers
  digging in the ash
                to remember,
how the gleam led
                to such dark detours
   when windows of reason
       abruptly closed
moments of sanity seem to
             trickle down,
dancing faster
               to catch up with dawn,
closed my eyes in shallow
        depth's recall,
  asylum harbors
           taunting deceptions
   setting fire to denial's
                   flared up insides,
                blistering under a sun's
                              dim betrayal

first let me say, what an awesome damn song.. I haven't ever heard it before.. oh wow... I love it... get lost in the beat, then she starts singing and holy hell.. ooooh yes...

ok, on to your writing... girl... you took me on a downward spiral, that seduced me lower and lower... shadows seducing me from the darkness.. cooling contrasts from the sweltering heat... beckoning me to quench what my soul desires... too bad once I give in, I see the betrayal... but what a ride...

The light giveth and the light taketh away. It has to be ...
What are we without our shadows dear friend?
This poem aches as much as salves.

As promised, I'm returning to cover some of the pieces I never made it to earlier...to be honest, I hate being late arriving at your poems, as there is really nothing left for me to say when I do arrive...

moments of sanity seem to
trickle down,
dancing faster
to catch up with dawn...this is just what my sleepless nights feel like...it doesn't just feel like I'm losing sleep, it feels like I'm losing sanity, especially when my mind gets caught up in the places you evoke here...you know I'm familiar with them...and when the morning comes, and the sunlight offers no consolation, one feels betrayed...in fact, the sun can only serve to rub salt in the wounds sometimes, and I wonder if I'd be more at peace in the rain...but like I said, there isn't much more I can say...I find it so easy to relate to your work...sometimes it feels like you're in my subconscious...it's no wonder you inspire so much of my own writing...brilliant work here love, but as I've said countless times, you are capable of producing nothing less...xo

Perceiving the outside forces to be the shadows of evil because they alter the backbone of your memories, morphing what had seemed to be at first the obvious (a sun shining in the horizon) into something else, not quite a sun, just something that resembles one (hence the betrayal). Your speaker's denial is apparent also while she flees away from the truth, trying to preserve the memories she's kept. Well done, as always!

Favorite lines in here for sure. I see those memories quickly turn from an icy blue to red hot, and then finally gray. Sometimes it is best just to forget. Betrayal hurts forever unless we do.

"when windows of reason
abruptly closed
moments of sanity seem to
trickle down"
Its melting insanity here... the dark sub consciousness is unleashed and later burnt by sun rays. When you wake up and see around same old things, that you have hated for a long long time.

Once again Frieda P. I come here and I stare and think and collect thoughts. This poem hurt, as one who has been betrayed in the past I know how this feels. Knives hurt but when they are held by a friend or loved one the pain never seems to end. I have learned now I do not read your poems, I experience them. This was great.

The melody and drama in whis writing is enchanting to me. Inside Frieda's chamber and I could assume is cold so december and I guess might as well watch out for the raven as if he is no here he is coming. Windows of reason have called it a day and broke for recess. The session resumes at impending doom will manifest through the fire of denial burn baby burn through betrayal.

I really like this introspective moment.

Although rather you than me.

Thankyou

this one's so deep I felt like I was digging mines and dancing with stalagmites for a while, then just as i get a window to see through you snatch it away and I see a trap unfold where the yearned for light of truth burns in the heat of the gross sun, did I get carried away............easily done with your work Frieda, wonderful.
