Grounded madness...

Grounded madness...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Madness like a washed up sea,
      wind without direction &
           stars sans illumination
footsteps in but one grain of sand,
crushing dusty dugout's salvation
       that never reaches shore,
broken pieces of a glass jigsaw puzzle
    mornings lit of sundown's promise
saying fare thee well at the end day
tempered within the fire of bitter love tunes,
acknowledged capacity for light in dark passages
lit within the intensity of folly's frenzy
a predilection's soft spot lost in the fray,
                    that keeps me grounded

stars sans illumination
footsteps in but one grain of sand,

Very different imagery here, I actually made a face when I read the grain of sand line. Not in scrutiny, but trying to picture a footprint in a single grain of sand. And of course, would stars without illumination be black holes? Or just a black sky? Very interesting Frieda, I love when you make me question things.

That's the best a poet could hope for, wish I could have seen your face. :) Thanks so much Ashira.

Oh so enticing. I was reading something by the name of the theory of madness and today I am met with this I am sure there is a thread there somewhere. The conrtrast however is that in the book I was reading madness is referred to as the lack of accepetance of the outer world leaving him/or her only with what is inside as reality. Your madness came at me like a concious vortex with its sole purpose to go from chaos to chaos to chaos for the building of something new. And although the renewal may not seem so obvious at the moment I think it is the grounding effect which patience will bring until that some day were all this whirwind will be a thing from the past.

They say patience is a virtue

Thankyou

Do I detect sharm? I just look at my sharm sensors and they flickered.....
