_Abstract Windowpain_

_Abstract Windowpain_

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For my son ♥ “You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there.” Edwin Louis Cole

"
Abstract casements crack
   as electroscopic tendencies
claw at open obi's dim glass,
blurred in kaleidoscopic scenery
   acid rains hit windowpain,
profundity of hues out of skew
        seeping sunlight's gray views,
onto the ledge of absurdity's escape
           fractured reflections of night,
  opulence of day slammed shut
on the avenue of broken security,
          apertures within the framework
ten thousand tears of fear's sashes
         tune the refractory passages,
breathing in toxic airwaves
     auspicious mornings took a dive
wafting throughout soul's austerity,
    rhyming outside a benign landscape
     overcast in panoramic technicolor,
    blinded in melody's  unlocked squeeze
squinting through the eye of a needle

It is intriguing to follow Frieda's poetry not only does it offer an intellectual challenge which is something I crave for but it is also challenging on the imaginative level as well. Double whammy. As I find myself taking it in hoping for a reflection of some sort I find a gesture that at times opens up but then i shuts quickly as ifnot let in all the negativity of the surroundings. At times also a feeling of eager anticipation followed by the acceptance of a challenging a situation that it is hard and it wishes to be resolved yet no obvious solution is on offer.

Painted experiences

Thankyou

FriedaP, I felt this one. I know why you directed this one to your son. I hope he sees it. It is powerful and endearing. You strike a delicate balance here. A balance only you can do with grace and beauty. Good luck, my friend.

I really like the way you thought outside of the box on this piece. I started reading thinking it was about one thing and was led on a completely different adventure. I felt a very deep undertone that expressed great emotion. The flow was so flawless that it was fun to glide from line to line. I also like how you did not resort to simplistic wording, but added complexity and emphasis. This was a very good read. Thank you for sharing.

Amazing imagery here, I sit at work and from window I see rain slashing on my window. The view of the ground is concrete jungle but I love watching the colors in the sky...

Is that a pic of your son? :)
Showing off his muscles?
Window pain...
Sometimes the pain we feel, it's just on the surface, though it feels real enough... This too shall pass.
