~ tissue paper flower derangement

~ tissue paper flower derangement

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_wilting as altered allusions_

"
 Amidst meadows
         of tissue paper
             flower arrangements,
wilting as altered allusions
     faltering in dreamy conclusions,
reeling 'neath an
        unconscious sun,
inverted butterflies
             clumsily capsize
helter-skelter in
                chaotic entanglements,
        under webbed canopies
                   of refuted lackluster light,
planting disillusioned
 derangement
in diffused gardens,
plotted bouquets
    swagg'd a gnarly design
       of synthetic delusions

When allusions morph and tissue paper can actually wilt, we know we are walking through the fantasy land of Frieda's mind. Where else could butterflies be inverted and sun be rendered unconscious? Surrealistic imagery. Always a pleasure to take a trip through your mind, Frieda. Lydi**

Love the depth of the words here. The illustration created by the weaving of phrases was pure ecstacy. Such a beautiful way to describe derrangement! Thank you for sharing.

Frieda, those poor butterflies.
I think I know the feeling though, of falling and getting tangled up in a big mess...
Beautiful work.

Have I mentioned that sick people are not supposed to write this good love? You waste no time spreading the vibe of your brilliance, because it's usually right there in the title, and this is one of the best titles I think you've come up with...an absolutely ingenious piece of wordplay, I can't overstate that...this piece takes me to many places...on the most literal level, it does sound like the musings of a sick person, though again, you're not supposed to be able to write about it this good ;)

planting disillusioned
derangement
in diffused gardens...this is where my mind really started to wander...I think I need a book to cover all the different places this took me too...this little bit blew the doors open on this poem and made it an imaginative free-for-all...the process of writing is certainly hiding in that metaphor somewhere, among so many other things...and then there's the closer...synthetic delusions huh? I just wonder though, does a delusional person realize they're delusional? ;) I know I'm not delusional when I say you're the best poet I know, and an endless source of inspiration...get well soon Mrs.R, cuz this piece is just so average you know? hahaha ;) xo

Leave it to Frieda to make tissue paper flowers sound dark and disturbing. I love it. P.S. you probably meant dream's
