~Solitude's sacred dance

~Solitude's sacred dance

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_a red sunset's prayer_

"
Solitude
          is my secret love,
I am submissive
              to its touch
ascending to a
                   higher plane
where poetry
              knows my name,
a red sunset's
              dance for one,
acquiescing in
       the prayer of
                       silence's nirvana
       sacred observance
                in peace
            amidst an ocean's roar
stars align in
           harmonious rhyme
whilst the rhythm of my mind
                     floats endlessly

Yes sometimes we need solitude...no voices, sounds or even contact with others. Just our soul communing with nature or as I call it "Alone time". Our creative battery can be recharged then...our spiritual clock reset. There's way too much distraction in the world...though we may need that very activity to get through painful times we also need peace and tranquility.

Most definitely recharges the battery, and blocks out all the ugly sounds, thanks Red.

Solitude… so hard to find in this hustle, bustle, gotta-keep-connected world we live in today. And, yet, solitude is so very necessary to the creative process.

My son is on Track-Out right now, and I'm struggling to create new work. I've had little rest and no solitude for over two weeks now. He goes back to school next week!

As an introvert who enjoys staring at sunsets, I adored this write! Peace can be just as beautiful as noisy happiness, and sometimes even more.

For some reason, the song, "Wouldn't it be lovely" popped into my head. If wishes and dreams, ahh, you know the rest ...
