Dulcinea dreaming ~ [Inspired by redzone's review]

Dulcinea dreaming ~ [Inspired by redzone's review]

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For Curt, a very special friend ♥

"

I'd inscribe the sky for you
       capture a fiery
               constellation,
bring you moonlight
    in a jar,
i'll be your real
                life Dulcinea,
if you'll be my
             Don Quixote

under a cool night's
mid- summer's breeze,
we'll lie naked betwixt
          velveteen sandy shores,
      surrender ~
              in the undulating surf
   as the crash
             of majesty's seas
 appeases
            our magnificent
                 yielding

all I ask in return,
        gently fold my affection's
          passion
      keep it in your heart
                for safekeeping,
a tender keepsake
                  for endless time

Frieda!!!! I read this last night on my phone, you often say "doing the happy dance", well you have me dancing on Quixotic clouds, heading to that "unreachable star"!!!! Can I confess (I know, not god person), you have been my Sweet Dulcinea from the first poem I read from you. And your affection's passion has been gently folded and takes up a good portion of my heart, it's safe and nurtured without asking.

In the spirit of Feudal, Chivalry, and all that is precious, allow me, El Don Quixote, wear your colors as I unashamedly joust at windmills and reach for your stars.. you already hold mine in your hands... would you care to join me in this quest!!??

Luther Vandross, come on Frieda (Dulcinea), he is one of the most powerful romantic singers and this song.. well, nothing is "impossible" or "hopeless" as I listen to it...

You are so freakin' special Frieda, you know I loves you for "endless time".

This is actually moving! I've been away for a while. Coming back and reading THIS makes me realize what an idiot I was for missing out this feeling Lol !
As for the poem ... beautifully pinned! Having a courage to give it all and do whatever it takes for Love.
And Gosh, Dolcinea and Don Quixote!

Aww . . . Now that isn't too much to ask, Dulcinea need not worry on that account. Loved the way your words flowed, as though they were passing by on a gentle, but determined stream of subtle consciousness. A truly remarkable piece of writing.

Sigh. I am about as romantic as an aged badger. But this one got under my skin. Winsome and lovely poetry.

You had me at "bring you moonshine in a jar"
Wait? What? oh, moonLIGHT! Well, that changes everything.
OK, read, read, read...

Fine I have my barber's basin helmet on and have climbed on my faithful steed Rocinante to come to your side, sweet princess.

A great write Lady F.

A saga of eternal love and ecstasy. The fabric of poem is so smooth that before you blink it is over with a memory of words in braille( One of your fav words :) )....on your mind. All you can think is Romance is alive somewhere.
