Dulcinea dreaming ~ [Inspired by redzone's review]

Dulcinea dreaming ~ [Inspired by redzone's review]

A Poem by Frieda P
"

For Curt, a very special friend ♥

"

I'd inscribe the sky for you
       capture a fiery
               constellation,
bring you moonlight
    in a jar,
i'll be your real
                life Dulcinea,
if you'll be my
             Don Quixote

under a cool night's
mid- summer's breeze,
we'll lie naked betwixt
          velveteen sandy shores,
      surrender ~
              in the undulating surf
   as the crash
             of majesty's seas
 appeases
            our magnificent
                 yielding

all I ask in return,
        gently fold my affection's
          passion
      keep it in your heart
                for safekeeping,
a tender keepsake
                  for endless time

Frieda!!!! I read this last night on my phone, you often say "doing the happy dance", well you have me dancing on Quixotic clouds, heading to that "unreachable star"!!!! Can I confess (I know, not god person), you have been my Sweet Dulcinea from the first poem I read from you. And your affection's passion has been gently folded and takes up a good portion of my heart, it's safe and nurtured without asking.

In the spirit of Feudal, Chivalry, and all that is precious, allow me, El Don Quixote, wear your colors as I unashamedly joust at windmills and reach for your stars.. you already hold mine in your hands... would you care to join me in this quest!!??

Luther Vandross, come on Frieda (Dulcinea), he is one of the most powerful romantic singers and this song.. well, nothing is "impossible" or "hopeless" as I listen to it...

You are so freakin' special Frieda, you know I loves you for "endless time".

I agree with Renee. I like the feel of old days and ways. The poem took me to better places and thoughts. Should be the goal of the writer. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This one turned into that famous movie scene where the two people are rolling around in the surf making out. I've done that before. It's fun but man is it salty

definitely agree with the knights of old spanish theme and its very beautiful as well but is it really as the song says the impossible dream, surely not, beautiful poem Frieda as usual :)

Whoa, Curt, your high-five is in the mail dude...it is no small feat to inspire Frieda to this degree...beautiful piece Mrs.R...this is a gentle and romantic side of you that isn't always obvious...it actually reminds me a bit of my own 'attempts' at romance, cuz I'm not very good at it...when I do attempt it, the one thing that most people point out is my tentativeness...it's hard to explain, but I tend to seek permission...the final stanza kind of has that feel for me...Mrs.R took a break from this one, and Dulcinea has jumped off the bench, and made this a lovely romantic ode...there is no more deserving an addressee of such a piece than Curt...it's cold and windy here today but I could feel a cool night's
mid- summer's breeze in this piece...lovely work :) xo

"her name is Dulcinea, her country El Toboso, a village of La Mancha, her rank must be at least that of a princess, since she is my queen and lady, and her beauty superhuman" from Wiki ..

this is captivating .. you melt my brittle steel ... good Lord have mercy on me ... two in a row in my favorites they go .. just love ... love and love .. i am lifted and inspired Frieda ..

i am moved

Lovely, romantic words… like an excerpt from old Spanish epics.

One correction:

Thanks so much, I didn't want it capitalized, poetic license and all that jazz.

You're welcome. Cool.
What a feeling, sounded from olden times, knghtly like. So respectful, yet romantic without the softness of modern times. Oh , when ladies where me ladies and Knights tried to be gents. The closeness to nature too is great! How to get together naked with nature but the most intriguing part for me is the desire to lift the love to the category of an eternal seed that would remain closely hiddent and treasured engrained even with the inner heart desire as a gurdian.

Where is my excalibur when I needed? All I have is this pink fluffly duster!

Thankyou
