Season'd love...

Season'd love...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_calculated calibrations_

"
Really wish you'd look me straight
in the eye when you breeze my way,
thought to myself, 'I do the same'...
what is this thing called love
that ties us in endearment's knots
       makes chameleons of us all,
fluctuates like the seasons,
     hot, cold, breezy & lukewarm
what happened to the intensity
              of affection's  bloom
instead of wilting in
            pathetic poetry's time warp,
relegated to the indignation
           of calculated calibrations
temperature gauges run amuck
       in frenzied heartbeat's irony,
   reigning in silver linings and
             spirit sucking entities,
bide my time till the tides turn yet again...
& you can look me in the eye...and sigh

Til the time I have the chance,
merely to look into your eyes,
and we both share a smile.

In other words,
I like it!

The perfect song to pair with this piece. I love this, but I don't, if you know what I mean.:)

love can't really be defined other than it still remains a mysterious force that makes us fluctuate with it ...love is just so fickle with its twists and turns at any given moment...neat piece.. Frieda;

In a strange turn of imagination this writing made me think of the life of Brian. There is a part in there were Jesus is asked, Why to write thousands of pages when all he was really going to leave us is one command? Was that an insult to our stupidity? Or was it his sense of humour. So you read the whole thing only to find out near then end that it was not needed?. The thing is that when you are able to love selflessly you die into the other person as no more questions or impositions or wants or needs are required.

Hence able to breathe the air of eternal love and sigh.

This is beautiful!

Thankyou

I need a secretary to keep up with your work lady. I love how gracefully you write about love.

Love is a mystery
love is a miracle
love is confusing
love is the answer.
Love makes us weak
love makes us stronger.
It is an enigma and your poem is straight forward expression as to why.

I enjoy your string of multiple images...they remind of the spiraling euphoria that come from romance, the inexplicable feelings of happiness that fill us up helplessly.

Delightful read!

You picked my favourite one off the album, let me make that clear right away ;)

Ha, pathetic poetry's time warp...such an apt description, and as always, one I would not have thought of unless I'd read it in your work...you were right, this is a bit of a different tone for you, but I would still know it was Mrs.R right off the hop...

what is this thing called love
that ties us in endearment's knots
makes chameleons of us all...yes, that is still very much you...I think it's the chameleons that makes it you...I'd like to think that I would look you straight in the eye should I breeze your way, but I am a shy one you know ;) But I have no problem sighing, and that's what I usually find myself doing having finished reading another new poem from you...a sigh of satisfaction in knowing I've discovered a true poet...xo

Breeze me away....
Oh, I like that beautiful lady.
