Melancholly Philosophy

Melancholly Philosophy

A Chapter by Ethan Paz
"

Read the poem with the song. This was impossible to rhyme with while using meter, but imagery was included as was enjambment.

"

The birds are chirping,

Below the stars glossy night.

A secret remains hidden

Among the philospher’s sight.

Silent! Do you hear the crackling leaves?

Hear them rustle, as the wind slowly blows.

Shhh! Hear the waves whooosh!

They retreat back to the sea and are no where to be found.

What doth wisdom profith

When man receiveth none?

Consider the birds.

They sing joy to each other.

Oh, child of thought!

Oh, man neath the heavens!

See the secret . . . .

Hear what the birds are chirping.

Give. Love. Give.

Give. Love. Give.

Look not too far, oh philosopher!

Day provideth for itself.

Be still. Hear. Enjoy.

Help. Love. Give. Show.

Many are your days.

Few are your chances.

The song is beautiful and I don't normally enjoy instrumental songs. I'm glad I got my speakers back.

Anyways, the philospher's thought always begins with sight and wonderment, questions beyond the vast sky above the philospher's head. He hears the birds sing the feelings of such truth and nature to be obtained by the philospher as they spring under the sky's many faces. The philospher stands on his path that leads to chances waiting to be taken, but they don't wait for long.

Wow, this made me think a lot and the song matches so well. It put me in such a thoughtful position kind of churning my mind.

Wonderful art right before my eyes, flowing through my ears.
