The Job

The Job

A Chapter by Ethan Paz
"

The circumstance always changes, but my job always remains the same.

"

Why do the clouds grow black,

And why does the sun shine hopelessly?

The floods of despair rise as my zeal of past cease.

The mucky waters of my heart only increase and increase.

The titter-tatter droplets of rain drizzle down,

Showing no sign that God will hault His sovreign will.

Even though my prayers reach the skies,

Yet I will rejoice in this trial and choose to be still

Because my job is to wait for my Sovereign Lord.

This was a great writing too! I liked how you likened the dark clouds to how your heart is feeling, like a heavy weight inside. But by asking or praying to God, he can lift the weight off your heart.
