The Vatican Skipping Song

The Vatican Skipping Song

A Poem by Gandré
" has to be said.

The pope slept in the Vatican

on bed of gold and pearls

some priests were in the garden

raping little girls

whilst bishops in the shadows

explored other joys

of chanting praises to the Lord

for chance to sodomize small boys.

Note for the reader:

Can  you imagine rabbits sitting in rabbit university

studying rabbit psychology and getting excited

when shown pictures of rabbit s*x?

Whilst the intention and format of your poem is brilliantly conceived.. i fear that as an ex convent school girl.. i must point out that rape and the like has been a tool used by each and every creed and country throughout history. Think the Crucifixion, think the Holocaust, think whats going on in countries all over the world right NOW as i type.

I love children, wouldn't hurt a hair of a child's head but... but.. but..

May we still be friends, Lara.. in spite of my frankness.. honesty .. just as you're entitled to be honest when you express your thoughts?.

well, I wrote it when there was the Benedict, the German guy.. and we all know why he resigned.. The new one is a bit better but they still hold onto their dogmata and infalibility thank you

wow, this was absolutely amazing. I know it's a tragic topic, but both the words, and writing, the lines took me by storm, and i absolutely had to keep on reading. Very impressive!

this poem sort of scares me but the writing is great

Certainly sacreligious......unorthodox to the nth degree. Perhaps you are a bit of an iconoclast? The simple rhyming belies the nature of the topic. Interesting on many levels. Lydi**

What a wonderfully wicked little piece of satire here. I like the treatment of church indulgence in a rhetoric that calls to mind children's chanting games and the dark causes of their origination (London Bridge, Ring Around the Rosey, Etc.). The playful nature at work here really works to let you say what you want while getting it trapped in the minds of your readers. Well maybe not trapped but nursery rhymes have that tendancy

The poem does unfortunately ring true with some clergy, as the media has told us.
"The pope slept in the Vatican
on bed of gold and pearls" - that was my favourite line, and it seems the pope seems to be the most innocent (or relatively innocent one) out of the lot of them.

This is rather satanic piece I like it you can say it with a scary vouis or a sacred one also and it means a lot to a person that has felt this way to keep it up.
