It's Funny That You Thought I Cared

It's Funny That You Thought I Cared

A Poem by Glenna.
"

Its odd, this poem...

"

Disgust is a mysterious lipstick stain

pressed to the collar of the introvert's shirt.

White cotton, button down, hidden secrets.

Ruby Red #3 tells no lies.

How are you dear? it is greeted.

Fine. Long day. Disgust replies.

I missed you.

...Me too. I'm taking a shower.

The faint smell of perfume

knocks Chivalry off its feet

as the mysterious lipstick stain

walks stiffly down the hall.

I'm not very sure if the whole "talking" part allowed the poem to flow very well.... what do you think?

I liked the talking parts! It created a nice balance between the talking/not talking parts which allowed the poem to flow well.
It was a very intriguing poem, and I liked the whole story behind it.
I loved the title and the lines:
White cotton, button down, hidden secrets.
Ruby Red #3 tells no lies.

A very well-written, thought-provoking write.

I really like this poem, and the talking bits were actually quite lovely. They allowed the poem to flow well while still drawing attention to them. I like how subtle this poem is and how it sort of leaves most up to the reader to discern (at least in my opinion). Lovely poem.
My favorite lines were:
"The faint smell of perfume

knocks Chivalry off its feet

as the mysterious lipstick stain

walks stiffly down the hall."
